Mary Watkins is a contemporary artist based in Yorkville, Illinois, working primarily with oil on canvas. Drawing from her background in Theatre Technology and Fine Arts, she creates atmospheric figurative paintings that explore the relationship between light, perception, and human experience.

Her current work centers around the garden as a symbolic landscape. A place of growth and uncertainty, sanctuary and wilderness, where figures move through spaces shaped by both the visible world and the unseen.
